thriving tourism industry here in Charleston. We see this as a perfect opportunity to launch The River Rat on the Edisto River. The River Rat will be a small business offering convenient
services to those on the river, along the river, and all communities downstream. From sun block to shuttle service, inner tubes to recycling, we help make your experience on the river as smooth as possible. On the Edisto, we offer a flood boat serving snacks and supplies mid-way through your journey. After your ride, The River Rat will offer shuttle service back to your starting point. All this while maintaining a clean and refined Edisto River through trash cleanup and recycling.
By being the first business on the Edisto, we will have the advantage of providing
services to an underdeveloped area. The Edisto River remains untouched and beautiful, but an overseeing business presence has been needed for some time. The litter and trash filtering in has become a serious threat to the low country’s finest river. The River Rat plans to reduce the carbon footprint of all Edisto floaters and partner with the community to help keep the river clean. Our marketing efforts will give promotional giveaways for volunteers who participate in a trash sweep of the Edisto River. The River Rat is committed to being a responsible company and truly bettering the community.
